I received many car transport quotes, How should I choose who to use?
The time it takes for us to schedule the pickup of your vehicle depends on the price you pay. We can match any price you find, but in doing so, you'll be wainting quite awhile for a pick-up. We understand the attraction of a very cheap quote, but you must be prepared to be very patient for a pickup if you do decide to have Nationwide go below the average cost to obtain a driver for you. If you are in no hurry for an auto shipper (such as an extra vehicle) and are looking for a great deal, then sure we can submit your order at a discount and wait for a driver to schedule you in. If you do have a schedule that needs to be met though, then you really must consider avoiding the cheapest quotes and pay the average price on a route to ensure a driver is scheduled to pick up your vehicle. In the auto shipper industry, cheap car transport quotes really do not produce drivers, and customers only realize this weeks after waiting and waiting, only to then be charged large cancellation fees from shady and dishonest companies.
How long will it take my car to get picked up?
If you need us to pick it up at your door A.S.A.P, then it takes up to 5 days (usually sooner). We call you in advance to let you know the exact pick-up date and time.
Once picked-up Delivery dates vary by distance. For example once your car is picked up in New York it will arrive in California (coast to coast) in about 5-10 days. However delivery to a shorter distance such as Florida from New York would be only 2-3 days. If you need quicker pick-up/delivery then there is an additional cost involved to guarantee your pickup on a more narrowed time frame.
How far in advance should I place my order for it to get picked up when I need it to?
We suggest you schedule your move as soon as possible to arrange your pick up within the time frame that meets your schedule. We normally ask for a 5 to 7 day advance reservation to assure a spot on a truck. If your vehicle is available for pick up immediately we will do our best to insure that your vehicle will be transported on the first available route. We may have cancellations which will release an immediate open reservation for the particular route. Scheduling your order in advance is helpful, both in a lower price and availability.
Can I put some things in the car during transport?
We ask that you leave only up to 100 lbs. of personal items in the vehicle for transport. Items must be placed in the trunk of the vehicle and also approved by the driver. Insurance does not cover personal items during transport. Please see the shipping terms or contact a representative for more information.
What forms of payment do you accept?
A deposit must be received at the time of your order. For your convenience we accept Electronic Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal payments. We also accept checks and money orders mailed to our corporate address. You may choose to pay the deposit and have the remainder balance paid upon delivery. At delivery the remaining balance will only be accepted as cash or cashier's check to the driver. A majority of our customers prefer to prepay the full amount as a deposit to be able to place the balance on a credit card.
Where is the car picked up from and delivered to?
We offer Door to Door Services. When placing your order we ask for a pick up and delivery address with contact information for our representative and driver to coordinate the transport of your vehicle. Sometimes due to the location, street width and the size of the car carrier our Driver may have to meet you at the nearest open location (i.e., parking lots, supermarkets) for his truck to fit and be able to unload your vehicle.
Is Nationwide Transport Services insured?
Yes, when your car transport quote is giving to you. Your insurance is already added in that quote. Your vehicle will be insured during transport with $100,000 general liability and cargo insurance on the open carrier and $500,000 in the enclosed carrier to cover your vehicle from the moment you hand the keys to the driver and receive your vehicle at the destination. When the Driver picks up your vehicle a Bill of Lading is completed where the Driver will perform a complete inspection of your vehicle. Both the Driver and the person releasing your vehicle will sign the Bill of Lading and again an inspection will take place at delivery with signatures required for the release of your vehicle. This all happens with the auto shipper.
